The Impact has finally arrived/Cachez les enfants, L’Impact arrive sur The Offside !

The only officially bilingual city in North America (it’s not official Los Angeles) is finally going to be represented on The Offside, so I feel it’s only normal to have bilingual posts seeing how Montreal is the sexiest city in North America and all. So whatever your favourite ” Solitude”would it be QuĂ©bec or the ROC, rest assured that you’ll be able to find all you amusing Impact tidbits right here on The Offside. And Bob finally has someone to hang out with in this lonely USL section. (come to think of it the USL representation on The Offside has just doubled)Btw i’m Marco and you can find me on the Italia and Livorno pages as well

This is the 1st post so I won’t be talking about the 1st loss of the year or the New Stadium, the 4 road games remaining before the season opener Nick Desantis’ sexy calfs, not even my infinite love for Saputo Bocconcini’s won’t be mentioned for now. I won’t even be talking about the possible Liverpool loanees L’Impact could be considering for next year

In the meantime, if you have any questions suggestions or plain old comments, feel free to feel free !

Allez L’Impact

Allez L’Impact !

Sweet. I can finally trash talk with someone other than the poor misguided lad from Seattle. I look forward to following the Impact through your eyes!

Despite living in Montreal for almost 2 years now, I’m ashamed to say I have yet to get into the Impact. I hope this blog can help change that!

Nolan - You are missing a lot. The Impact are a class organization that draws 10K+ per game. They always have quality players. Their new stadium looks great. Heck, if I didn’t live in Portland and root for the Timbers I’d be an Impact fan. Give it a shot in 2008. You’ll end up with a new team to love.

Bob - I’ve heard very good things, I admit I had an unfair prejudice against USL but it’s mostly that I just haven’t had the time to learn about the team. I plan on changing that though, as I’ve made it a goal of mine to go to at least one Impact game this season.

Nolan ; don’t feel bad, the last time i saw the Impact live, Paolo Ceccarelli was in nets…

Jimmy : Nice to see you here, i’ll link to the MLS Montreal Petition soon enough

Bob : nice to see you’re a closet Impact fan ! And i have some ”bĂ»cherons” in my genealogic three so i have a soft spot for the Timbers too, but don’t tell anyone

Laurie : I speak QuĂ©bĂ©cois, the french think I’M dirty. I’m pretty sure us quĂ©bĂ©cois ”hate” the French even more than the Italians. I just love the fact that i can actually ”obstine” the french in their mother tongue (because, they like to think they speak english, but someone needs to explain to them that the sound ”th” in english isn’t pronouced like a ”Z”) :)

    Marco : You’re from MTL !?

Chris : The IMpact just signed an AS Roma player, how’d you like the IMpact now ! we’re comin’ to get Cerci and Okaka any day now

It’s true about the QuĂ©bĂ©cois…as one of those dirty Anglos ruining MontrĂ©al, I think the dream of Quebec is to destroy France and take its place as the dominant force of La Francophie
