Timbers 4 – Impact 0 – We really need a new team.

What can I say about tonight’s game? We didn’t play exceptionally well offensively, thanks to Roberto Brown’s absence, Rocco Placentino not being part of the starting eleven, and Eddie Sebrango being (once again) ineffective. We also didn’t play a stellar game defensively, thanks to the absence of several key players such as Pesoli and Braz (for most of the game in his case), while Zanzan seemed to have found the shaky player he was at the start of the season. Let’s not talk about Sakuda or Gatti, or the rest of the team making terrible touches, bad giveaways and of course, an own goal.

I can’t agree with head coach Marc Dos Santos‘ assessment of the first half of the game:

“We were the best team on the field in the first half, but after the second goal, the team broke down and we simply stopped believing.”

Sorry Marc, your team broke down soon after the first goal was given up.

Thankfully, this time he seemed to be displeased. I am wondering, however, who he plans to start for our next league match against Charleston.

I seriously don’t know what to think about this club. 2009 has been a bitch so far. We’re damn lucky to still be in the race…
